E-Bomb, or the electromagnetic bomb, is designed to destroy machines that use electricity. Generators would be useless, cars wouldn't run, and no chance of making a phone call. A big enough bomb would set a city back 200 years or cripple a whole military unit. The U.S. military has been pursing the idea of an e-bomb for a while, and many believe that they already have one in their arsenal.

What is an E-Bomb?
The E-Bomb releases a nuclear explosion, which results in electromagnetic radiation and causes to electric machnies to surge and produce high voltage bolts. This bomb does not last, there is only a short burst and causes widespread damage to electric machines. The E-Bomb relies on the altidude of detonation, energy yield, interactions with the Earth's magnetic field, and sheilding of targets.

The E-Bomb is a hopeful goal of the U.S. military because ultimately they wish to have this technology to explode artillery shells in midflight. The E-Bomb releases 2 billion watts or more, which the Hoover dam can produce 24 hours. Mechanics argue a basic weapon of this sort can be made with $400.
